Verification of the Hug Filtersystems Mobiclean R Diesel Particulate Filter for On-Road Diesel Vehicles
The Air Resources Board (ARB) has verified the Hug Filtersystems Mobiclean R diesel particulate filter for use with most non EGR on-road diesel vehicles from 1991 to 2006. The Mobiclean R system reduces emissions of diesel particulate matter by at least 85 percent and is designated as a Level 3 Plus system. Temperature requirements are only 200C for 15% of the time in a duty circle. The primary components of the system include a diesel oxidation catalyst, a catalyzed diesel particulate filter, and a backpressure monitoring and notification system. Furthermore, the catalytic washcoat has specificly been developed for the very stringent CARB requirements. The Mobiclean R DPF system is verified for on-road vehicles using diesel fuel that contains up to 20 percent biodiesel. Specific engine families and conditions for which the Mobiclean R system has been approved may be found in the Executive Order posted on ARB website at: www.arb.ca.govHug Filtersystems AG opens up the Hungarian diesel particulate filter systems (DPF) market
May 30th, 2011Elsau (Switzerland)/Dunaújváros (Hungary) +++ The Swiss diesel particulate filter manufacturer Hug Filtersystems AG has concluded a contract for supply of round filter systems with the Hungarian coach company Sprint Tours Kft. In future, Sprint Tours Kft. is to market and install high-grade Hug quality filters in buses and coaches on the Hungarian market. The first 50 systems have already been ordered.
Hug Filtersystems AG is one of the first filter suppliers operating on the Hungarian market, and, together with Sprint Tours Kft., it has passed all filter tests and certifications. Three coaches of various coach manufacturers fitted with Hug Filtersystems mobiclean R filters are already in operation at Sprint Tours Kft.
A legislative procedure for pollution control is currently imminent in Hungary. Consequently, there is major potential for retrofit solutions such as the mobiclean advanced filters for reducing particulate emissions.
Particulate filter installation is currently being expanded by Sprint Tours Kft. as a further business area. For the time being, conversion is primarily aimed at coaches which are also operated in other EU countries in which installation of particulate filters is already mandatory.
In addition, buses and coaches which are operated by public companies and authorities are to be fitted with diesel particulate filters. Great demand for retrofit systems is anticipated from this sector as well.
This foothold on the Hungarian market and the cooperation with an established Hungarian distribution partner mean one further important step towards expanding its market position on the European onroad market in exhaust gas purification systems for Hug Filtersystems AG. Manufacture and marketing of technologically sophisticated Swiss quality products and long- term customer satisfaction are important company principles at Hug Filtersystems, principles which have made a substantial contribution towards ensuring that Hug has been able to hold its own at Sprint Tours Kft. in the face of tough international competition.
Hug Filtersystems AG is a company of Hug Engineering AG, a Swiss enterprise founded in 1983, an enterprise which develops, produces and sells exhaust gas purification systems for all engines and all engine sizes worldwide. Since May 2011, the majority of Hug Engineering AG has been owned by the ElringKlinger Group, a leading development partner and OEM manufacturer of high temperature- resistant cylinder-head and specialty gaskets, housing modules and shielding systems for engine, transmission and exhaust systems worldwide.
Sprint Tours Kft. is an established private coach company in Hungary. The Sprint Tours Kft. company was founded in 1992 and is a family-managed company with a staff of 35 and a fleet of 30 state-of-the-art coaches, 10 of which are used for international travel. The fields of activity of the company are renting out coaches and organising coach trips, in addition to repair and conversion of non-company coaches.
